夏日溫馨提示

SUMMERTIME REMINDERS

With hot summers, please remember to not bring your dogs out in the heat in-case of heat-stroke. If the weather is particularly hot, then it is better to bring your pets out for walks after dark. (Please see our Facebook page for more information about heat stroke).
If you have a brachycephalic dog in hot weather, please look into a cooling vest for your pet but it is best to bring your pets out only at night.
With such hot weather, please be sure to check your pet’s paws after walk as if the pavement/concrete is too hot, it may cause thermal burn to their paw pads.
During summertime, there are plenty of flies so if your pet has any injury/wound and spends a large amount of time outdoors, please be alert of potential fly-strike to their wounds. Flies may lay eggs at the wounds and your pet may develop maggot wounds.
Please remember to have your flea and tick prevention updated. It is better to use new generation flea and tick products as some resistance has been noted in the older products. Please call us for more information.
